Critical success factors
In order to get positive results and to come out as winners in any project, Critical Success Factors have to be identified so that everyone is clear about aims and objectives.
Obviously weak areas which compromise the reaching of goals have to be highlighted, but it is more important to uncover positive aspects with which to enhance the overall picture.
Axiante's methodology picks out critical success factors in its projects as follows:
- People. People themselves through their work and drive determine the success of a project.
- Organisation. Apart from individuals, the organisation should act as a Sponsor by believing in a project's value and motivate people towards achieving its goals. Furthermore, it should dedicate time consistently to these key factors:
- Processes
- Organisation
- Company policy
- Procedures
- Data and information. In general terms, a consultancy project is set up to allow the customer to access and free information related to a business, an organisation and so on. This information is available for reading immediately. Nevertheless, it could be that a certain amount of data already exists within the organisation, so it is therefore necessary to extract and free this data too. This data must be made available and should it be missing it must still be inserted.
- Hardware e software. Technological infrastructure must be considered a Critical Success Factor in order to achieve top results. Technological innovation must be viewed as an investment for people and the organisation, implementing improvements which increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a business.
